Chameleon Bottom Bracket Length (Single Speed)

Can anyone help with this?!

I've looked on-line trying to look at what spindle length I will need for my early Chameleon and I will admit it's driving me nuts

I'm hoping to run an older pair of Shimano XT/XTR cranks, if I can find any

Buuuuuut I can't work out what spindle length to run... Anyone had any experience with this?

Spindle length depends on crankset, not the frame.
BB width depends on frame. 68mm or 73mm.

It depends where you're going to mount the chainring; where the middle ring goes, or where the outer ring goes. Also, are you using a single speed conversion kit on a freehub, or a proper single speed hub.

I'd like to mount the chain ring on the outside of the spider, it looks a lot neater I think.

Thanks for the reply, I'd like to get a bottom bracket fitted just so I know the threads are good in the frame.
