Got some cycling shoes from Aldi.

I did the same a few weeks back with a jacket.

Was very close to buying a cycling jacket for around the £60 mark then I chanced on an Aldi jacket in the "bargain reduced" section which happened to be a. mens and b. the right size.

£8.99! (Half original price)

Doesn't seem to be inferior quality either. It's as stylish and as well made as the similar jackets I was pawing over in Halfords....

Only snobs don't go to Aldi.
Good range of beer etc too.
Was after some padded shorts but all either womans or too small.

I agree & I have to admit I was a bit of an Aldi snob....

...but have been doing the weekly food shop there for a month now and rate it highly. The food is great. And if you squint your eyes slightly and de-focus when walking around all the products look like recognisable brands! ;)

The only gripe I have with the Crane stuff is there cycling backpack. I've had 2 fall apart on me after only a few months use. Having said that I may be trying to squeeze too much into it everyday! :)

Yes, gammon steaks are as good as anywhere and the alternative to Pringles, can't tell the difference. Or their Mini Cheddars.
Speckled Hen for £1.17 a bottle, 660ml San Miguels for £1.25
