is there a standard pitch for M1O?

Looks like not. Coarse 1.5 which appears to be thr "standard" as you refer.
Fine is 1.25, 1.0 and 0.75

Just popped into my garage and regular bog standard plain vanilla M10 bolts are 1.5 mm.

Sounds like you need fine, the terms fine superfine etc do not appear to be used consistently.

Just make sure you specify the thread pitch.

Same pitch as a 2004 Toyota MR2 exhaust manifold stud.

Just a bit of trivia, unlikely to come up in a pub quiz, but you never know...

Re:

Just a thought wouldn't it be quicker easier and less hassle to just run a 1.25 pitch M10 tap through them :?:

Not if it's already got an m10 thread in there. All you'll do is remove more material and significantly weaken the female thread.
