been suggested to try a low-stack headset in order to regain the 20mm i've lost with a new frame that has a 20mm longer headtube! want to keep my forks so looking for other options! maybe a low height stem too with a single bolt rather than two?!

any help greatly appreciated!! :xmas-big-grin:

Re:

cheers!

what about having an extra 50mm welded on (they are steel forks)??

a small sleeve welded inside the steerer, then a small length of steerer tube welded on over it??

maybe?!

Re:

King headsets are 31.4 total stack according to their website.

The M-Part inline is 24mm stack so you get 7.4mm
Might get a 21mm Crap Brothers headset too so that's 10mm

FSA and sure others made/make a 30mm stem which is probably another 10mm over a normal 40mm one.

I've seen it done by cutting the steerer and brazing in an extension. Probably an expensive option though.

Re:

thanks lads! :xmas-cool:

yeah, it's a work bike, i paid £50 for the Salsa Cromoto forks, a new headset and stem are prob not far off that too! cheapest way is the extender, really would like to keep the forks if possible though!

oh, and Merry Xmas! :xmas-big-grin:
