The modern RD's that have a clutch fitted can the little lever that switches the clutch On & Off (grey) be replaced if its been broken off?

I don't think so...Shimano aren't too great at providing spares.

What mech is it? I use a Zee mech because they're cheap to replace when they get broken.

Pretty sure that it's time for a new mech buddy.

The Zee ones are only forty squid so not too bad when they get totalled.

Re:

Probably time for a new mech, unless it's stuck in the position that you normally use, in which case just keep riding it :)
I've also heard good things about the Zee rear mech, maybe worth a look?

Re:

Looks like it is replaceable the part No is Y5Y198010 Switch lever unit & fixing plate.
The SLX RD M675 and the XT RD M786 share the same lever.

The XT RD in question is NEW and it was damaged during delivery.

Thanks for your help guys ;)

Does anyone actually sell the parts though? I know when I've tried to get parts for the disc brakes, you can find a part number but no one who stocks the damn thing.

If it's new, was it from a shop?

Re:

Try Madison, I think they are the main importer/distributor for Shimano in the UK:

http://www.madison.co.uk/

However, if it was clearly damaged during shipping then I would go straight back to the shop.

Cheers,

Nik
