City Jets PSI

Hi There

I have read a few article's that road tyre's need high psi's, in the 80+ region.

I have had 2 city jets delivered for my MTB, but they say a max of 65 psi on the side.

question is do i go 65 or 80psi as others have said.

Me personally i am thinking 65 unless someone can advise?

thanks

Phil

Re:

Stick to 65 as advised on the sidewalls, it's plenty for regular use.
You can go above it, but I wouldn't advise that especially on the 1.95" ones. With high pressure comes high stress on the carcass.

Re:

I wouldn't recommend exceeding the maximum stated psi.
Think I ran my city jets at about 50psi, enough to keep good rolling resistance but helped soak up some of the bumps and vibration. This was on the 1.5 wide city jets.

City jets aren't road tyres.

Slick mtb tyres is what they are, so mtb pressures. (Nearly)
65 will be more than enough. Unless you are a larger individual.
