Help guys , after some advise/info .
I am in to my boxing and do a lot of running , but i am after a new mountain bike to take the stress of my arches/joints etc
I don't like racers as i find them to uncomfortable ,although i have not bought a new bike for over 10 years I i have always been a mountain bike type guy .
My mate just bought a new 29r cannondale for £800 from a shop , its the first one i have road and i was impressed at how fast they go , what i am asking is would i be better off getting one from an internet site such as wiggle ? it seems that if i got one off such a site i would get a far better deal and much higher spec than my friends bike for my dough .
They have 2013 kona Kahuna 29r on there that cost £1095 new for £700 , this has a far better spec than my friends bike and for less money , i could get nowhere near that type of spec on a branded bike out of a shop in my area .
Heres the bike i was looking at below ,what do you think ?
Any advice or places to buy would be appreciated .
Thanks Garry

I've got a Cannondale BadBoy 29er (2014 - 2 months old, perfect condition) which MIGHT be up for sale...

Just like this one:

It's a Large. 19" centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube :)

If you are using it for road bike riding then make sure you get some slick or at least semi slick tyres on it whatever 29er you buy.

The Voodoo Bizango 29er won MBRs bike of the year and is only £600.

I think you have to shop around, but I generally find online offers some good deals.
My boss just got a new Canyon mountainbike, the "Grand Canyon" 29'er, and it looks like a lot of bike for the money....

Someone else posted a link to Canyon on another forum , If i am honest i would rather pay an extra £200 and have a more well known brand thats more familiar to me , like Whyte, specialised ,marin, scott,gt etc
A friend of mine is a manager of lesurelakes, since i made this thread he said he would give me a big chunk of discount of a £850-£1000 bike :)
I was thinking of ether the Whyte one below
http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/p/1484 ... -bike-2014
Or this horrible green specialised rockhopper below , in ethe shop they call it the hulk lol, just don't know wether the colour i would tire of ?

Its your monies to spend how you like, I was just offering some options.
Its you that will be riding it, so if the slime green is making you think twice then maybe go for the Whyte.
Have you read any reviews of these bikes?
Do Leisure Lakes have a demo bike you could try out?

PS: canyon is a pretty well known brand, big in Europe, same as Cube, Ghost, Felt and others, ultimately you pay a premium for a "big name" like Spesh or GT etc.

Yep. Don't write Canyon off just because they're not as big over here. A friend of mine has a Canyon and he can't find a single bad word to say about it, and they're virtually impossible to beat for the money. There is even a UK-based warranty/service department know I think.
