Don't do it ! I put a pair of 26s on my Scott build but were not grippy in mud or wet grass even with 40psi in 'em . Panaracer Fire XC /XC Pros work for me , even the 1.8s are better than the Ritcheys

Ahh ok thanks for that used to have panaracer cinders in 26" but after something in 29" now...
 
Don't do it, I bought very similar treaded Ritchey tyres thinking they would be good in all conditions. Big mistake, the best way to describe them in mud is squirmy. Fine on dry hard ground but useless when it got wet.
