2004 dean ti

excuse my ignorance with modern bikes but this bike has been offered to me at a lbs for $1500CDN... it is apparently the owners last bike as he now has gone with a 29'r.

its a 2004 dean ti frame but I don't have all the details yet.

any chance of telling by "just lookin at it" that this bike is worth that? that there is anything funny about the set up? it did ride fine...

Looks like Dean to me. The bi-ovalised down tube, "Breezer" style dropouts and seat stays indicate it is. Do you know the serial number?
$1500 is about right for the spec, but given the poor market for 26" wheels you might be able to haggle the price down a bit.
