So.....

Putting aside any personal opinions on whether 29" wheels are a good idea or not! I like em! Currently running some Schwalbe Racing Ralph snake skin tyres....which whilst they are good in the the dry, light and have a real low rolling resistance, I am wondering what to do when the good old British shit weather comes back! Anyone know of a good light weight, tubeless knobbly mud tyre for the 29" wheel?

Thanks in advance

Doug

Personally no, but I have read good things about the Bontrager mud tyres.

Ardent has good credentials, and tan walls rule, I'm running a set of Onza Canis.
Not sure about the wet/mud, pattern similar to Ralphs though knobs are taller.

Enjoy!!

I am currently running Racing Ralphs Evo Snakeskin which are great in the dry but the British winter will be here before I know it! How have you found the Onza's in the mud?...do you know of any other tan wall 29er mud/wet tyres?

The Onza's are fine in Holland, better than Ralphs for mud, but flattish XC trails here are not comparable to the UK.
Got these tyres from Singlespeed Central webshop, other ones I know of are WTB prowler tan walls
