right, for some reason, i'm not all too confident when it comes to choosing the disc caliper adapter for my brake.
i got LX M585 disc with a 203mm rotor.
IS mount required
any reason why i cant just choose any old front brake disc mount adapter for 203mm rotor?

Usually need one 20mm smaller for the back as I recall. The one I used on the front of my old bike was for 203mm and used the same one for the rear to give me spacing for a 183.

Should also have added I have a spare Hope mount to run a post mount caliper on an IS mount at the rear you can have for £6 posted if you want. It is a G on that pic.

will your rear adapter be compatible with my front brake?
the adapter needs to fit to IS mount forks and have my 'post mount' caliper fitted to it for a 203mm disc rotor.
so i guess that makes the adapter an IS to Post mount for a 203mm disc rotor? am i making sense?

Oh no sorry. It is for the rear IS to do 203mm rotor. :) Looks like this - http://www.hopetech.com/page.aspx?itemi ... cification and is the G mount.

For the front you would need a Hope B mount to run a 203mm rotor.

To run the mount you have on the rear you would need to use a 183mm rotor.
