Now I know a ten speed chain will work on a 9 speed cassette but purportedly the shifting wont be as great. My setup is pretty spot on at the moment but there is a certain chain I want though its 10 speed.
Has anyone tried this and if so what was the shifting like?

A 10 speed chain will have worn out before you need to shift

I've ran KMCX10-SL chains on my 9 speed MTB's since they first released them as they're lighter than a 9 speed chain. No shifting issues at all.

The black and red one? I have one sat at home waiting to go 10 speed on the Orange. Nice chain.

Seem to be tough to get hold of now as well in the UK. What sort of price do they go for?

Hmm does that mean the limited edition has run out? I had a word with the guy who got me mine to see if he can still get them but said they are out at the importers currently.
