The first month it's pure pain, all the rider's weight is on the sit bones, so you have to get accustomed to the new seating position. After that, you won't be able to use another saddle again. If you care about your jewels, it's the way to go. Just don't get discouraged after the first rides.

Oh yes they are ugly. And heavy. But again, retrobikers have retro jewels. And retro jewels need good care.
