But not with that specs, I would like this on it:

Frame: Maverick ML8 in ano black, name: Titan or Monolink Eight
Forks: Fox 36 TALAS 160 or DUC32
Wheelset: Mavic Deemax or Hope/Mavic EX823, Overkill FTW :)
Drivetrain: XTR M900 RD, XT M760 cranks, FD-R773 front der, XTR M970 shifters, XT cassette+XTR chain
Cockpit: Race Face Deus everything, end of story, only because there's Deus in it. [DEUS EX <3]
Brakes: Shimano XT M755 4-pot
Seatpost: Maverick Speedball R
Seat: Dunno
Tires: Racing Ralph and Nobby Nic 2.4
Outer cables: Baby blue or black.

I maybe forgot something, but feel free to correct me on that :p

Infinite money?

I doubt I would be thinking about bikes. Too busy ending world hunger and disease and planning colonisation of distant planets.

If I could justify say, five grand on a bike I guess I would be going custom steel-ish full susser.

I'd have a full weight weeny custom steel hard tail 29er with rigid carbon forks and a 2x10 gears.

XTR Gears
Avid Disc brakes (top of the line)
Mavic rims

Infinite money? I'd use a tiny part of it to take me, my wife and a close friend or two to as many good European riding locations as I could fit into the decent riding years I have left (which isn't very many, more's the pity).
The rest of it I'd try and do useful stuff with, not waste it on bikes ;) .

If I had infinite money I can guarantee I wouldn't be spending it on a Generalized with (jumping on the band)wagon wheels! ;)

That's like winning the lottery and going out and buying a top of the range Ford Focus!
