Hi all, I've recently been enjoying riding my steel team Marin. Which has made me want to get a more modern steel frame with disc mounts and will take 100mm forks. My question is what frame should I look out for? Looking for 2nd hand that I could pick up for say £200.

I like the look of. ...

Charge duster
On one
Cove handjob. ... although I think that needs a 120mm fork
Genesis

Any others worth taking a look at?

Dialled Bikes Prince Albert is another. Can take from 100 to 130 forks.
What size are you after? I've got a 19" one for sale at a very reasonable price of £90 posted inc. a headset and seat QR ;)

Another vote for be Sanderson...I've not ridden one but they look lovely and are quite rare.

Cotic Souls are hugely popular and always get good reviews. I know it's not the same, but I love my BFe.

What sort of riding do you do?

I only ask becasue although the Duster is a great bike for ragging about in the woods it wouldn't be my first choice for epic rides. Likewise, if you want to much about in the woods a Soul would be a bad choice.

The Duster gets great reviews but it does have a short top tube and was only available in one size.

only to do gentle xc rides along the south downs, anything too extreme and I'd use my stumpy.

I do like the look of Cotic's, but will 100mm be enough travel?
