lubing jockey wheels

Just adjusting rear indexing tonight and there seemed to be a lot of drag in the drivetrain. Hooked chain off and cranks span OK, so its in the rear. Easiest bit to try first is the jockey wheels. The rear mech is a 2008 Sram X9. I have had issues with these before, and I've always stripped, cleaned and greased.

Any suggestions for keeping these spinning sweetly? Any better lubes or replacement jockey wheels?

Cheers Chris

Didn't get that far, hubs are quite new and jockey wheels have form, so my suspicion lies with them. I'll get them off tomorrow and have a look, just wanted others experience of lubing them for a longer life of free spinning

I've seen loads of SRAM jockeys seize during rides on mates bikes - it does seem to be a known issue. From their experiences, regular cleaning and regreasing seems to be the only way. Any good quality bike grease seems to do ok.
