Ive just won some Saint stuff http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M800-SAINT-1- ... true&rt=nc

The hub needs to be built so what would be the ideal rim to lace it on to :? Im going to make the attempt myself.

I reckon the 'proto-type' sticker is just that  No chance Shimano development stuff would get out.

Have a look at Chain Reaction, they've got Nukeproof, Sun Ringle MTX and Halo, nice and meaty and good prices. Personally I'd go for the Sun Ringles.

Nice win there. Agree there's no way that its prototype stuff. When Dirt did a feature on the prototype stuff Gwin was running none of it was coloured or branded as Saint, just plain silver.

I'd go with an EX729...great rim. I ran them on my Demo 9 and they took a proper beating.the D321's that I've had in the past ave always been good too.

I had the Saint brakes of hat era and they were great, easy to bleed, powerful and never needed any TLC.

Yeah,i looked at the 721 and the 729 and the latter certainly looks to be more robust. In my own choice i'd go for double eyelets :? and machined sidewalls also add to the rigidity.Got to get this choice correct.
I dont see this set being something thats passed through a few hands without being broken up so i reckon the seller is responsible for putting it on.
The depths some people will stoop
Now just have to think on whose spoke and what gauge to use, probably not butted

I'm tight so normally use fairly basic spokes. Sapim race spokes have always been good for me.

I still don think you can go wrong with Mavic rims, although I've used Sun rims with no issues too. What bike are the wheels for?
