I have an x0 mech and wondering if there is anyway to put in normal jockeys?

Currently like this:

No. You'll need SRAM compatible ones. I have an X.0 with BBB jockey wheels and it works just fine.

These?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-BBB-Rollerboys-BDP05-Jockey-Wheels-For-SRAM-Mechs-/180717504101?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item2a139a4665

Arent the bearings inner diameters too big?

The thing i was thinking was if i could remove the plate bits attached to the cages, thats the only hinderance?

Yes, that's how they look like, but just make sure you also get the correct covers. Mine came with 2 versions. I wouldn't mix if I was you. Also, I got these because they seemed cheap and I couldn't get original ones. If you can get originals, go for them!

Odd....

My 2010 XO rear mech took a pair of Hope pulleys no problem.

Earlier alloy caged XO mechs are a little different and won't even take the later type SRAM pulleys though.

that's weird or must be an older model.

I have fitted 11T alloy jockey wheels without any compatibiltiy issues.
