Ok I'm not a fork novice, I service my rc36's no problem. ( thanks for the bits Tim) but I picked up a pair if manitou xvert t forks for free and planed to put them on a friends rts1. Before I do I have a question.
When I compress them quickly they bottom out after max 2".
If I push slowly they go further, 3.5" ish. Then straight away I push quickly and they still go 3.5". Next after a few mins I push quick again I'm back to 2" before it bottoms out.
Can any one explain.
I've downloaded the service manual, but I can't work out if its very cleaver and only works the amount it needs to or it's had it?
