Work stands ?

Hi all,
I need to purchase a work stand to get my projects kickstarted!
Are the £40 stands that you can get all over the web any good? Or do I bit the bullet and go for a park tools bad boy for at least twice the money?

Any advice please

I've been toying with this for a bit too. My feeling is buy cheap buy twice, but £90 is a lot. But chainreaction have a seven sale on right now so that is worth considering.

it's very sturdy even for a ham fisted buffoon like me,can't fault it for the money and there's tons of adjustability with it

The one they used to sell in Decathlon is a good price and very sturdy too.

I got me one of these for around £50 :

It's called "velo works" and I picked it up at Decathlon.
Been using it for well over a year now, and it has been holding my 37lbs trek on several occasions without any drama.

Yep got the same one, can't fault it, the clamp can be a bit fiddly but it takes my Stinky Primo with no probs and that tips the scales at over 40lbs.

That's the one I was talking about in my post, for the price I can't fault it at all.
