Bottom Bracket size & type

Hi all, I have a 2000 Kona Cindercone frame and a Shimano Deore groupset. The only thing I am missing is the bottom bracket. The crank arms have FC-M510 stamped in them and the BB shell on the frame measures 68mm.
Can anyone help with the length of the spindle I would need and what part number it is?

The crank arms are not square taper but look like they have splines in them.

Many thanks.

Many thanks for the links I have had a look and it appears it would be an octalink BB I need and the table in Sheldons website suggests its the V2 octalink which matches the crank I have.

How do I find out the length of the BB spindle?

It appears that they range from 113mm to 118mm according to Sheldons table.

By default of being Shimano then it is Octalink and as it is not XTR it will be version 2 so every Octalink botom bracket made for MTB not with XTR/95x in the name.

The tech specs on Shimano site will tell you the preferred length but as you mention 113 or 118. It depends on the chainline you are aiming for but shouldn't matter too much.
search the FC-M510 in Google and Google pics often brings up tech sheets quickly.
