Hi,

I am looking for a Stumpjumper FSR frameset. Normally I like to ride 20" bikes. I know these frames came as Large (19") or XLarge (21"), but it all comes down to the length of the toptube. I cannot find any info about the frame geometry!

Can anybody give me this info? From somewhere on the web or perhaps a scan from a brochure?

Cheers,
Bart

If I recall correctly, those years FSR frames were very different types, depending on the exact model..?

I have a 1999 FSR Extreme - listed as a 'medium' (17") frame, and the toptube effective length is around 52cm.

By contrast I have a modern HT at 18.5" frame and 55cm TT and a 'small' (14.5") modern Full-sus with an XC setup and that also has a 55cm TT...

Realistically it depends on what you're going to use it for, if a stiffer XC setup (less sag, less shock movement) then you could get away with the shorter/smaller frame, but if you need more movement or sag from the shock then I'd suggest the larger size.
As reference, I am 5'11 and like to have the seat waay up in the sky..

New type frame was 2004 -on.

I'm a short-legged 1m72 and size medium was spot on for me.

(If that partially answers your question.)

Well..... I'm 1m90... I think a XL would be better for me...

Anyone has a XL frame he could measure for me?
