Mongoose Deuce Pro - any info??

Dirt Disciple
Couldn't resist putting in a low bid for this as I have a soft spot for some Mongeese. Surprised to find that my bid secured it for me. I don't know anything about this frame other than it was a dirt bike made for a period from 2001 to ? It has a wierd skeletal head tube that is adjustable for rake - maybe a early attempt at Cane Creek Angleset. It was that and the fact that it is nearly mint and came with a Truvativ Holzfeller 2x9 crankset and BB, Titec seatpost and clamp. Not a bad for £43 in my estimation, and I look forward to it arriving. Pictures are vendors.

I know that it was split from a bike that was kitted out with Shimano Saint hubs, brakes, rear mech and LX shifters and Titec stem, bars and post, WTB rims and tyres. But I don't know anything else about the frame and there's hardly anything on the interweb about it so I think they're pretty rare. I can't tell whether these were all standard on the bike.

Any body come across this bike or got any info on it?

Nobody with any info on these? it must be rare! I guess I'm not going to see many of these on the trails.

Should be getting it today or tomorrow and can then take some measurements to find out which headset (suspect semi-integrated) which rear hub will fit (suspect 150mm 12mm axle) and whether it had a proper rear dropout or must take a direct axle mount rear mech like the Saint that was on it originally. Info is so scant on these bikes. What have I let myself in for.

Any, any info appreciated.

Never, ever seen one of those before...doubt you'll see one out and about.

Not bad for forty notes. Looks to be in pretty good nick too.
