GT XCR idrive thread - owners bikes and tech support

Ooo thats a toughie, there are a couple different variations on the main pivot as i recall (bearing differences/bushes). But you mean the main sleeve?
I think i used another sleeve to knock it through. Otherwise a very good fitting socket?

Oh thats good. Think thats how i did it before. I say very close fitting as the sleeve isnt massive thick etc.

jus smashed mine out with a socket earlier 2day on my sts xcr 1000
and the needle bearings too

Is the seat post loose and rattle-y in the tower on the STS XCR?

.. bought a frame and the seat post seems too small.

Done up the clamp & it slips in the tower.

The next size up won't fit :(

Having the seat tower crack, like on the XCRs, worries me.

No wonder there's so few of them around now.

???

Got the frame cheap cos of cracks round the seat tube so pulled it apart and ordered a new peice from the states

got a seatpost in it and its tight but cant remember the size
