Best stand and stomp full susser?

Ok I love to stand and stomp on my rigid bike when going on small sections of uphill.

Doing it on a full susser was not the best. I realize that sitting and spinning might be more efficient but I still like standing and pumping the bike. I don't mind if travel is 3" or less. Is a soft tail my best bet?

Mucho thanks![/quote]

Giant NRS might be something to look at.

Definitely.

My NRS was ace. Virtually no pedal feedback at all. Took a little bit of fettling to get the rear shock set up just right, but once you get the right balance between the two air chambers it behaved just like a hardtail until you hit a bump.

I'd love another one :)

Any full-suspension bike that allows you to lock out the rear shock, allows you to stand on the pedals without much bobbing. And the FS bikes that don't come with such a shock, can usually take one.

I'm considering going that route myself. A nice fully with dual remote poplock, so I can turn it into a rigid with a simple push from each thumb.

depends wether your looking for extra traction up a technical hill which can be given by a good fs design and shock ......

......or you just want to stomp the flat bits in which cas a remote lock out would be best..........
