Singlespeed setup/ratio

So I'm going to run my Spooky as a singlespeed, but having not run one before I'm unsure of the chainring and sprocket sizes I should go for. The bike will be used as a general hack about bike so an all purpose ratio is what I'm after I guess? All advice and suggestions gratefully received!

I run my 24seven Messiah full sus on a 36-16 and thats great off road but a little bit slow for road use (only a little though, not too bad at all)

Im on a 34-15 for the right chain length for my bike and similar ratio (was on 36-16 but didnt give right chain length).
