Campag veloce 10 speed.

Does anyone on here have any experience of the Campagnolo Veloce groupset?
Thinking about speccing a modern road build and I neither need or want a top spec groupo with 11speed and carbon. Just want something that looks decent, works well, is reliable and doesn't cost the earth. Veloce seems to meet the criteria but would like some personal testimony if anyone has any.
Also happy to hear other recommendations, but I'm not a fan of the look of the modern shimano cranksets.

I think your summary is pretty good. It's solid stuff and works well. I think it's more durable than Shimano 105, although at the expense of a slightly clunkier shift. It is a solid thunk rather than a snickety-snick, if you see what I mean.

I haven't heard any bad things about the Campag bottom bracket system, which is unlike the Shimano and SRAM ones which seem to wear rapidly.

Not what you asked about, but I have Chorus 9 and it seems nice and long lasting.
