There was a bit of chat about it last yr Bull.. over on one of the Eastlands development sites, mentioned international class XC course starting at the veledrome and running through Philipps Pk onto the vale.. i think Bank St and the immediate area around the meat market are for the high jump, though it was said the arches would stay and become a feature/nod to the areas industrial past.

Interesting, I drive past there a lot.
Half of the meat markets empty now, the ones that are left seem to do well though. One of the large units on the same road nearer the park has just been let to what seems like a big company.

it's a big plot of land if they shut-off Bank St. (i've seen it half described to become a 'green passage'in earlier documentation), i would'nt worry too much about any big companys...i told a pal 4 yrs ago that Anchor Chemical would be going west, he laughed at me , said me talk was ludicrous....they'd just spent £4mill on a new machine..he's a nice kid but he can't envisage above millions. Anchors n'more.

There is a little man made trail at clifton valley thats all sign posted up and has a couple of small red sections, plus riding through clifton country park can be quite good, if you stick to the river bank you can pretty much avoid the walkers.

I think they'd need the road past the abattoir for access to the cemetery?
I drove past the cemetery last valentines day and there were CCTV vans surrounding it! That's bad.

Is Clifton Vale north-west Manchester FSR-Si?

Clifton valley runs from the bottom of Agecroft rd Salford, under the M60 (pilkington tiles factory and the aquaduct) all the way to Kearsley. You can easily get a couple of hours riding there.
