San Andreas rear shock replacement?

Hi folks,

I'm looking to replace the rear shock on my '99 San Andreas. It currently has the coil-over piggy back shock that never seemed to work quite right (probably incorrect spring for my weight, although age may have changed that...)

Any recommendations?

On one of mine I changed to a Fox RP23 shock which is lovely and plush. The other I switched from the original coil shock to an original Risse shock and even that made a big difference.
