I've a Dura Ace lever on a Pauls Thumbie mount. Am I right in thinking I could use it with RR only it would work backwards?

Exactly - I ran RR with thumbies. It all works well, just backwards which takes more getting used to than you might think :?

Or at least for an old git like me who has used thumbies for 22 years...
