Freeflowbikes - dont buy from them

I bought a saddle from Freeflowbikes thinking they have it in stock, because their website says 'In Stock' but this is not the case. This was ordered a week ago for my brothers birthday but the saddle is still with another supplier, supposedly in transit to Freeflow.

Once it arrives then I guess a period of time is going to pass before it is packaged up before being finally sent to me (assuming I get it at all).

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of ordering something from Freeflowbikes and then expecting to get it soon, you are better off trying someone else, dont bother.

Not sure it's a Freeflow Bikes thing. Been caught out a few times by shops showing stuff in stock and then when you order it - you get a message saying it will be in stock in 6 weeks. Great.

Worst offenders for me recently: Demon Tweeks and Slane Cycles.

I'll not ever be buying from either again.

A rule of business is - to update your stock in real time if web based!

Or you will lose customers...

Prob why CRC does so well, Merlin, wiggle, stif have been good too!

Ah.... and Charlie bikemonger nice chap aswell

Rutland have done this to me once or twice recently too, they are very nice and communicative about it, but that doesn't help when a couple of items in my orders were intended as birthday presents!

I know the owners personally.Ill pop into the shop tomorrow mention it to them.Probably just an oversight as freeflow is a relatively new online shop[connected to a real bike shop]

What saddle? cost etc?

I'd also like to say your title is way too strong.I know these lads and the family well and that type of 'they messed up once so **** them totally' attitude is way over the top

Why,it's the internet. If they intend to sell on it then there is little emotion. They are just yet another web page until they socialize and make them feel real.
To make this better and work for them they should pop here and explain. 'Become a person' and take the feedback and use it.

I agree with this. In this day and age its 2 seconds to go to the next online shop.
Its nice of you to try and sort the problem, thats better than any i have heard from even if i know people that know shop owners etc.
Pat on the back yourself.

Last year around November(before I gave up alcohol)I ordered the Haynes bike repair manual from Amazon. In ordering it said"there is a newer version of this book available, would you like to buy this?" But of course I do.I must have missed the small print but on completion but the end message was"delivery expected July 2012".

At least Amazon dont take payment until the product has been despatched.

What I hate on the bay(I have learned my lesson now)is people who sell stuff as being in stock, only to find they have bought the product from somewhere from else i.e. Amazon and just sent your name and address as their delivery address.Lesson is:Ebay is not the be all and end all to buying from the internet!

Now I'm at a computer and not a phone.
I will add, you can of course cancel the transaction as soon as you find out and go buy from somewhere else.
