I have a build going on and I'm considering using a rigid fork.

The frame is recommended to have an 80mm travel fork - and deffo no more than a 100mm.
I currently have a 100mm fork on it - and it looks too long - so...

What length Crown to Axle should I be looking for - to mirror an 80mm fork?

420mm? 440mm? What the rule of thumb please guys?

Yep. 420 A/C is regarded as equivalent to a 80mm fork once sag taken into account and 440 equates to a 100mm.
Nothing to stop you using whatever you like though. I put some 440 carbon rigids on my Kona Kula which is designed for a 100mm fork but thanks it having a long headtube it felt way too tall at the front so now sporting some 420 forks instead and it feels much better.
