Does an integrated helmet exist?

Moderators and gurus - can you help a reader out? I'd like to convert this topic into a reader poll which I hope to steer the results a the various helmet manufacturers.

I'm across the pond, and live in a rural section in Michigan, USA. Dairy cattle country. Manure holding ponds, warm weather, and bug swarms that blacken the skies.

The vent holes in my Bontrager and Bell helmets let the bugs in, and they irritate the hell out of me. Nothing quite like that itch one can't scratch at 15 MPH. I want a helmet with a removeable, recessed clip-in screen that mounts on the inside of the helmet between the Stryrofoam shell and the padded insert. Any other readers interested?

I machined my Bontrager to create a recessed area in back where I am able to slide my iPos into this recessed slot and still be able operate the circle wheel conrols. Having a helmet with this kind of recessed mounting slot ould be a big help. Any other reader interest?

I glued a couple Velcro strips to the chin straps of my Bontrager so I could mount my thin Asus helmet speakers to them. I recessed a wiring race in the Styrofoam shell to hide/protect the speaker wirres/keep them out of the way. Any other reader interest? I recognize that this may touch off the debate about the risk of riding while listening to stuff. I ride off road, and like to listen to stuff when I ride. I'm guessing that a third to half of other riders do as well. Would this feature interest others?

I ride at night. Having a integrated mounting boss for a helmet light (MagicShine, Princeton Tec EOS etc.) would be a big help. Ant other reader interest?

I want and need a helmet with these features. Anybody else interested in them? Please sound off....

Only in my pants my good man..only in my pants

Right now that inevitable joke has been said...have you looked at paintball helmets?

not entirely sure I like the idea of digging a hole in the helmet to insert an mp3 player, get hit in the wrong spot and it may get inserted in your head...

I used to have a helmet with the lycra/mesh cover on the outside...

I'm surprised nobody makes a helmet with front and rear LED's.

To add a poll, just click the 'edit' button at the top right corner of your original post. You'll then see the poll options at the below the post editor area.
Fill it in with your question and your options, hit 'preview' to check it and then 'submit' when you're happy with it.

Moving this thread over to 98 --> as it's not really a retro topic.

This guy I guess has one:

I have a Poc Receptor , they do a version for skiing which have removable plugs to the vents, this would stop the bugs getting in , but maybe a little on the hotside ,

Could you use insulation tape on the inside of you exsisting helmet to block off the forward facing vents ?
