Does the amount of stroke on a rear shock make much difference?
I have a 50mm fitted and I'm looking at a deal on a 55mm.
Would I notice much between the 2, and would there be any fitting issues?
Excuse my stupidness

You may have frame bottom out issues.
Who knows, may just give you more travel.
The stroke isnt to do so much with the length. Its how much the stanchion moves.

Just take how many inches travel you have at the rear and divide by the current stroke length.

So if you are around 3x ratio then you are going to gain 15mm at the rear wheel....which is probably fine.

This wouldn't be perfect but worst case you could fatten up the bottom out bumper on the shock shaft to shorten the travel to 50mm. (May effect damping curve)
