Stumpy's just back from a two day trip of 90 + miles. Bristol to Reading using the B-B cycleway, then the whole of the Kennet and Avon towpath. Lovely!! We got lucky with the weather, managing to dodge most of the showers and the scenery was even better than expected, including a great wildlife count.
Half-way overnight stop was at the Golden Swan in Wilcot - very nice old pub, bike friendly and with the biggest breakfast you'll ever see!

The Golden Swan; beer tastes great at the end of a hard day!

Hey chap!
Cheers for your company! Nice riding - great scenery - and a pub with proper good beer and BIG breakfast.

Don't do what I did and have two packs of cereal first. The lady put two immense breakfasts in front of us, with a "I'll do you some toast", to which we replied - "no need"

Good to know the plan of the slime tubes and puncture proof tyres kept the hawthorns at bay!

Good ride, well done. How busy is it?

Did part of the Grand Union Canal to Watford yesterday and it was busy and the moored boats all seemed to have their contents spilling on to the paths and their dogs running lose. not really pleasant
