Retro Newbie
hi guys/girls, newbie here

normally ride a custom built marin attack trail (woodland/freeride)
moved closer to work and as my marin isnt exactly a road bike iv been looking for something a little better suited for commuting

2nd to this my wife wants to join me out riding i wanted to get something with a small frame so she can use it and i wouldnt look stupid riding it

well enough rambling, i asked a few friends and iv been offered a Saracen X-Lite from circa late 90s
well i cannot find anything about this model, let alone what i looks like
i would ask the friend who has it to send me a pic, but its buried in his shed and the poor guy only has one leg

im wondering if anyone on here could shed some light on this particular bike as its quite a trip to go collect it and im hoping it will be worth it

thanks in advance guys/girls

couldnt put this in my first post
but in case anyone is interested, heres a pic of my marin

IF you look at the top you'll see Archive&Gallery, follow that and head into manufacturers Saracen. The Catalogues are in there

thanks fluffychicken
ive made my way through the 90s saracen catalogues and cant see anything on it

dont suppose anyone else knows anything that may be of use to me?

If it's not in them, then it probably is 90's or a Saracen X-Lite.
Best throw up some pictures, go round and find out.

X-Lite is/was a UK brand name for bike parts and other things.
I would be surprised if Saracen used X-Lite in their names (being another UK company) as legal issues would probably arise.
But, who knows. Not me.

now theres a possibility i didnt think of

im just hoping its the right size frame that i can build on bit by bit really
any decent components coming with it are just a bonus

i think im just going to bite the bullet and drive the 100+mile round trip to go pick it up
after all it is only going to cost me the price of a crate of stella

once iv got it shall i post a pic to solve this mystery?
