Can't decide which to go for on my Pace RC104 build?
Nukeproof i can get everything, stem, seatpost, saddle, seat and bars.
If i go for Thomson i can only get stem and seatpost, but is Nukeproof a tad AM / Downhhill / freeride gear?

Nukeproof is am/dh/fr as you suggest but dont they do xc stuff? I cant remember.

Otherwise, why not both?

Some people dont like all th enukeproof stuff. Seatposts in particular as i recall.

There was a recent thread for this.

Thompson stuff, it's quite simply the best seatpost stem combination money can buy IMHO

Nuke Proof for me, Thomson is soooo common, always turns up on those ten'a'penny Orange Fives...

Joking aside (sorry Edd!) I like the NP stuff a lot, very solid, I think maybe a little lighter and much better looking in my eyes. I find Thomson too 'blocky', although on a modern frame I guess that's less apparent. Bloody good stuff though, no argument over that!

I suppose the question is this "will a steel XC bike suit Nukeproof components, that in my eyes are more DH / FR genre" ?
