Does anyone know of a good quality seatpost in 30.0mm size in silver?

Everyone seems to just do black these days, and not many do this size. :(

10 points to that man.

I never thought it would be this difficult but black just doesn't look right on the Morris blue. I have a completion kit colour combo conundrum!

I even went as far as e-mailing Thomson to ask them if they would make them in silver again but no joy.

I will keep a look out on e-bay but would really prefer a new one. ;)

or strip these down to silver ;)

I have wondered about this. Am I right in thinking that good quality anodising sinks into the alloy a fair bit, and if I removed it I may not have a 30.0mm seatpost anymore?

or the PUSH laybacks are actually good quality, just not the poshness of a Thomson

Have you personal experience of them? I have heard that they are a bit crap. :?

Could you not get a shim then choose what you want?

As letmetalktomark mentioned, Pace don't recommend shims for long term use, and they all seem a bit short. The bottom of all the shims I have seen barely pass the top of the seat stays, i.e. not much support.
I am contemplating a custom long one though if I don't find a better solution first.

It's why I went for a black 104

I'll keep an eye out too for you.

Appreciate that.
I just couldn't resist the blue. ;)

I had the same problem and ended up buying a cheap quality post on ebay that was black and very scratched. Spent 30mins with the wet n dry and metal polish and now it looks shiny and beautiful! :D
