Syncros hardcore headsets

My 2005 Lenz frame cam with a Syncros Hardcore fitted. Very distinctive look that I like a lot, but frankly not that impressed with it. The design of the lower crown race and sealing inspires no confidence. That said it worked well enough though.
Is there "old production" versus "new production" For the headsets?

I have one mounted on my 98 frame and have had no problems with them, just remember to clean arround the lover bearing in the winter time.
Have used the headset since then on the bike and the newer model on some other bikes..the old ones are good (and where exepensive) the new ones like all other to the same price range.
You can se the difference on the logo, the old one has just writing.
