What are your default choice build components?

Rear hub must be something obnoxiously loud and clicky

for MTB?

Shimano > SRAM (except cassettes)
KMC chain - reliable and cheap
Sunline grips - comfy lock-ons
Charge Spoon or Spesh BG saddle (never found one I like as much as the one that came stock on my '05 Hardrock!)
Hayes brakes - just cos I really like the lever shape
Hope bits & bobs - their skewers work so well
RS forks - as they are the only forks I'm currently confident of servicing

Magura forks and brakes,
Syntace bars, stem and post
DT Swiss wheels (hubs are great, rims are cack)
King headset,,
Bonty tyres
WTB saddle

More or less describes both my bikes, though for some reason I feel the Euro stuff suits a Canadian bike better than a Californian...
