I was getting at though is he actually rides really well from what i have seen, no fear would just mean going big and fast but form the looks of it he has a lot of technique down too.

No fear does not diminish potential for exceptional technique. The greatest in most high risk sports need to combine both.

Fear has its place, in setting everything up and motivation to practise relentlessly, but it is fear of underachievement, rather than coming to harm.

When you know you have taken all the precautions you can, you then have an easy choice to face the danger left or not.

The guy has enormous balls.

But more than that, he understand how to use them.
