The problem with skinwalls is all the grime and sludge you get on them from the brake pads as they eat away your rims on a gritty winter ride.
As you're considering them on a bike with discs then you've avoided that problem already.
In terms of that particular bike, I think that black walls will probably suit it better anyway. A set of Continental tyres with their orange walls might look okay, put pale skin wall tyres will, as you say, look a bit anaemic.
