it is a ill-thought out design - the chainstay should be on the right not left side as that will position it better to counter act the force when padelling, even with them shoes.

I quite like it... in a wierd, quirky sort of modern/retro kind of way

It can probably be built as a left or right side drive... with a flip flop hub
