My goodness yes. I fitted some newly acquired Avid Ultimate Levers to my ride today, but left the XRT V's on as my bikes all dirty.

Now I have had Ultimates and XTR plenty of times before and wasn't expecting a big difference, but this was the first time I have done simply nothing but replace the levers. The braking has been transformed from what was very good to sublime.

Not only is the braking much more powerful but the feel is better too. (aided of course by the modulation adjustability on the Avids). Much more comfortable too.

Now I remember why I liked these levers so much 8)

i love my avid levers. two sets of sd7's, old ones and new ones, they make any brake better.

SDs are the only choice for v or mech disc I concur

Used the servo wave levers on XT v's and they were great.Then i bought and fitted XT levers

:shock: Yes Big difference
