Spec M2 Pro 1998 - help with front mech sizing

Bikepedia says 31.8mm but I think it might be wrong having looked at a few other threads.

Anyone shed some light and confirm for certian before I buy something incorrect (not for the first time

)

Bikepedia are correct on my '97. (well, they say 35 but my factory fitted says 34.9. Close enough I reckon.)

i thought all specialized bikes of that era were 30.9 seat post and 34.9 mech

my 3 bikes are same seatpost mech on s-works is e type but other 2 are 34.9

I would measure it first before buying one. Bikepedia might be right.
