Retro Guru
I have been offered a nice set of 2007 hope mini pro , the newer silver
version.
With 225mm front fixed rotor and 203mm rear fixed rotor.

I have a 56lb dh bike and i weight 19 stone ,well i will be more 16/17 stone when i start riding properly.

Will these be enough to stop me?

I know there are M4 and 6TI which i'm waiting for a reply on.

Just a bit paranoid about my weight and what not

I dont see why it would be a problem really. Bear in mind the rigourous tests that these and any brakes will go through before it is released.

Cheers buddy i'm very paranoid about my weight.

But come January 1st diet and gym time :D

i think the only real difference you would notice would be on long steep alpine type descents. uk riding you'll be fine.

They are far from the most powerful of brakes, but will stop you alright regardless of weight. If they're a great deal go for it, otherwise i'd look out for some saints, avid codes or similar dh brakes.

well £80.00 with braided hose's and blue top caps
in mint condition.

I think it is a good deal

well i will deffinatley not be going to the Alps and i will only ride every other weekend as i don't drive.

Does seem like a good deal and if you decide you don't get on with them you can always sell them on and make your money back.

i wouldnt use anything less than 4 pots for dh with hope brakes , i'm not shy @ 19 stone and i found the 4 pots good and the 6ti's (which i use on my san andreas) do the job very well

i run 225mm discs f+r too ;)
