Tyre choice.

Looking to replace the tyres on my '98 Kilauea. Currently running 1.8 XC Fires. I'd like to go a little wider 1.95 or maybe 2.10. Would ideally like a year round tyre. Don't want anything too heavy.

So what you guys running?

Schwable do Racing ralphs or you could try a Nobby Nic. The Continental Explorer 26x2.1 is a resonable all rounder and cheap too. I run Conti Verticals but they are 2.3" wide. My Kona has Conti Mountina Kings 26x2.0" but they are no longer made.

Maxxis Ignitor 1.95 - I've seen them in Wire, Folding & UST (pictured).

Wider XCPro's?

The wider ones feel very different to the 1.8.

Maxxis Larsen TT. Great all round tyre, I run the 1.9's on my xc bike, the 2.1's on my all rounder and the 2.35's on my DH bike
