I know a lot of Fox parts are interchangeable but the folk at Mojo tell me that the stanchion wall thickness is different on some models affecting compatibility. I'm thinking about buying a set of damaged circa 2002-5 125mm Vanilla and dropping the internals into my 2003 100mm Floats. Is this possible? I'd put 25mm of spacers in the spring assembly to bring the travel down.

Does anybody know of part combinations that won't work?

As far as i'm aware the only forks that you can't mix and match are F series to float/talas. So really you should be fine, the F series are more lightweight. I've converted a pair of floats RLC and added Talas to them, as at the time there was no such fork. Obviously you can't mix and match 32 with 36

I'm running 2002 Float internals in 2008 F-series stanchions and lowers! So it looks like almost anything goes. Mwah ha ha (cue lightning bolt and thunderclap silhouetting SP in the workshop with fork in hand)!

:D
