just a thought....

any one tried using old 6mm rope cables on new cable operated disc brakes?

would it offer less cable stretch?

Just another idea: You could double up the cable to negate stretch.
But you cant fit both the cable ends in a lever.

tandem front brake lever ;)

but what about the caliper end

why would you want 2 cables anyway?

I'm sure there's a way you could double up. But anyway... you guys didn't even answer the OP's question lol. (I didn't because I have no idea what 6mm rope cable is!)

6mm rope cable is early 90's shimano cable that was thicker to try and reduce cable stretch which makes your brakes feel all spongy.
