Hello just go a Easton MG-60 stem and it has a round rubber cap on the steer clamping end of the stem can anyone tell me what this is please. As far as i can see its only there for looks :roll:


please any on, Any idears ;)
 
It helps to dampen the trail buzz coming through the bars. These are good stems, very light for the year, and they do what they claim. Also very expensive when new- £130 odd... :shock:
 
:shock: £130 Its not the magnesium then, that rubber is important to this stem was thinking of taking it off ;)
